Today, I headed up with a group called the Happy Hikers to an area I am familiar with hiking out of Horse Creek Recreation Area into the Sampson Mountain Wilderness. While I will go over this in a little more detail down the line I did get to hike the Turkey Pen Cove Trail which I skipped back in March. We went up this trail and came back down one that I don't have fond memories of the Middle Spring Ridge Trail. It was a five-mile round trip.
