Snowy Holston Mountain Just One Highlight Of A Barn Rescue Trip To SWVA

Well, it was back to the Cabin for more Barn Rescue. As I talked about last week the barn on the other side is being worked on. Anyway, the tin for the barn came in so, we went Monday to Piney Flats to Lyons Metal to pick it up. I have to first say the highlight of the trip was seeing the snow-capped Holston Mountain.

Back to the tin, we got half of the order as it was too heavy for Big Red to carry it all. So, we took the first half to the second barn. Joe and his crew were just finishing up taking the old tin off.

Then on Tuesday, we headed back over to Lyons to get the second load. Unfortunately, there was no view of the snow on Holston Mountain as it was blanked by clouds. This patch we took back to the first barn and unloaded it when the rain let up.

On Wednesday morning, even with 30-degree temperatures and damp conditions, I headed out for a quick hike before heading back to St. Clair.
