Retreating To Natural Tunnel State Park With TCC

Today was the Annual Board Retreat for The Clinch Coalition (TCC) which I am a member. Once again (like 2017)  it was held at the Natural Tunnel State Park near Duffield, Virginia. Our retreat was held at the Cove Ridge Center, where last year's was held. TCC is an environmental group charged with protecting and preserving "the natural heritage, unique ecosystems and environmental integrity of the Clinch Ranger District (Jefferson National Forest) and surrounding communities" with a focus on the High Knob area.

We set priorities for this year and reviewed our Five-Year Plan and suggestions for our next one in 2019. We broke up into committees and you can guess which one I am on...the Hiking and Trails.  Overall, it was a very productive meeting and we even had a short hike to end the day. I also did a little hiking of my own down to the Natural Tunnel, Lover's Leap and visited the Wilderness Road Block House. I will have more on these hikes soon (with lots more photos).
