The Fire Pit & Paw Paw Hunting Make Up The Second Half In SW Virginia

The second part of my Five Days in Southwest Virginia was at the Cabin. Besides the Clinch Coalition Naturalist Rally another late September tradition is Paw Paw hunting. I got to the Cabin a little late Saturday evening, but I did have time for a fire.

Now on Sunday, was a day to relax. I did have to go out and get Dad, but no Bax. But we did find a few Paw Paws on the drive up.

Monday, the Paw Paw hunt would begin in earnest. Unlike last year where it was more like Paw Paw collecting I had to hunt them this year. I even had to go down to Paw Paw Alley to find some. While I didn't get near as many as last year I got a decent number...
