It has been a while since I did a new From....Blog. So, to coincide with blogs I am doing on some Back in the Day outings. So, this first one I am doing on Virginia's Highest Peak...
Mount Rogers.
Standing at 5,729 feet the peak is forest-covered. It wasn't always thought to be the Old Dominion's tallest mountain, that was its neighbor across Elk Garden, Whitetop. That might be why there are a road and view on top of it and trees covering Mount Rogers Summit. However, it turned out that Whitetop Mountain is 204 feet below Mount Rogers. Anyway, the last two I did on
Camp Creek Bald and
Viking Mountain I have continued to update them when I get new pictures. So, I will do that with this Mount Rogers one and future From....blogs. So with that here is Mount Rogers From....
