Pete Went Down To Virginia For A Bathtub

Well, Pete here and Trail Life is a Hiking Machine's life. I am here in Southwest Virginia and because the Lummox is trying to placate me or something because we still haven't been up my knob. No instead we went to the Devil's Bathtub just down the road on Monday. After Sunday I could use a cold swim and I was hoping the devil would be there so I could open a can of Whoop Ass on him. Well, he wasn't there but I did open it...on the Lummox as he forgot to take my picture in the "tub." Since I dove to the bottom the should call it Pete' Tub...hell yeah I like the sound of that. Well, you know what it is time for...I am out BITCHES!

Fast Times At Margarette Falls

Margarette Falls is always a good choice when I need a hike but don't have a lot of time. See, I had  Fantasy Football Draft in the afternoon, since my friend Glen lives in Greeneville (well technically Tusculum) I needed something close but not too long or hard. I thought about Pete's Branch Falls but decided on Margarette Falls. Yes, I have been here a few times, most recently last month. Unlike that outing, there was no going up (and down) the steep manway and climbing boulders going to the two Bailey Falls. However, it is always a great hike just going to the 60-foot cascade. So, here are some photos...

The Hiking Machine Has His Own Tent...TOO SWEET!

HELL YEAH! Yes, this is the Hiking Machine here and today I finally got my very own tent! I have wanted one for a long, long time.

This I can get some sleep on the trail and it also means I don't have to share a tent with the nasty ass Lummox, it's just TOO SWEET! I can't wait to get this tent out on the trail for an overnight...I am out BITCHES!

Reunion Weekend In St. Clair

This weekend here in St. Clair we hosted a family reunion for Terry's family. The Frye-Phillips-Hall Reunion was over three days, including a "Thanksgiving Dinner" on Friday and the main part of the festivities was Saturday.
Friday...

...& Saturday

There was great food, mostly provided by a food truck...Kurbside Grillin,' some singing and great times. While this Wood Booger didn't know many who came, I did by late Saturday.
