While doing the Sixth Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Hike blog I realized I had done one on the fifth edition. So, here is a Back in the Day Blog for the Fifth Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Hike.
It was to the Camp Creek Bald area at Jones Meadow. The hike was up the jeep road to Camp Creek Bald Fire Tower. I hadn't discovered the bluffs, with the great view, by that point so I didn't enjoy those. However, I took the Appalachian Trail (AT) out to White Rocks, Big Firescald Knob and Blackstack Cliffs, which afforded me a generous amount of views.
