The second section of the Roans to cover is just as good as the first...the Humps and Big Yellow Mountain. These are also a set of natural balds between Yellow Mountain Gap and US-19E. Because they are harder to access this section is not as popular as the Highlands, but they are just as spectacular. Two of the peaks Hump and Little Hump Mountains and the smaller summit of Yellow Mountain are all traversed by the Appalachian Trail (AT). Another spot that the AT passes I will include is Doll Flats. While the AT doesn't cross or there is no official Big Yellow Mountain doesn't have an official trail.
