Cold Hike Georgia On Gold Branch Trail

The New Year has begun and it is time to hit the trail with the Thursday Hike Georgia group. Today we stayed in town and hiked the Gold Branch Trail at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. This morning could be described as brisk. The temperature at the start of the hike was 12 degrees, but light wind which wasn't bad. There was five of us (Lori, Beth, John & Ken) including myself. It was a good hike of about four miles with beautiful views of the Chattahoochee River and some good up hills. It was a good hike. On a side note I went to REI and got me Winter Tilley Hat. This one fits perfectly.
