In Tennessee It Is Just The First Snow

Well, today was the first measurable snow here at Saint Clair in 2016. We were actually one of the place that had some of the largest accumulation between five and six inches. The funny thing is a snow like this, in Georgia, would get a name like Snowmageddon or Icepocalypse but here it is just the first snow of the year that didn't even warrant a Winter Storm Warning, but it was given a name Ilias. Deb and I had some fun hiking around the place here in Saint Clair. The road in front of the house, TN Highway 113, was blanketed with snow. Oh, it also gave me the opportunity to try out my snow pants I bought back in August. We also enjoyed watching the bird gathering around the feeders outside the house. There were Robins, Blue Jays and even my favorite Cardinal showed up...the rotund Big Red. While this was a nice snow the weather report this weekend is for an even bigger event called Jonas, so stay tuned.
