Wednesday, I went on a winter hike at Buffalo Mountain Park in Johnson City. I will be doing a Day Hikes on Buffalo Mountain soon, but before then here is a short blog on my outing. It was by far the coldest hike of the season (mid-teen's at Hartsell Hollow Trailhead). I hiked up to White Rocks which has great views of downtown Johnson City and Elizabethton. Then it was on to Tip Top (where I took a wrong turn but made it). Then past Buffalo Cascade and finally to Huckleberry Knob. In all over six miles. After the hike I picked up a growler of Oskar's Ten Fidy at the One-Stop, well that is all.
