Hot Day Hike At Cumberland Gap

Well, it has been over a week since I been out, so Today, Deb & I headed to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. This was her first trip, but my second. On my first visit, I hiked quite a bit more than today and I am going to do an overview of my two trips. Anyway, we did two-and-a-half miles from Thomas Walker Parking Area, up the Object Lesson Trail to THE Cumberland Gap. Then it was to Tri-State Peak where Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia meet.

Unlike my last visit, we drove instead of a hike up to the Pinnacle Overlook. It is a wonderful view. While hot, it was a good day.
