Deb and I went out for a Sunday Hike on the Appalachian Trail (AT) at Big Cedar Mountain. While the forecast for today was warm and sunny it wasn't that way when we arrived at Woody Gap. While sunny, it was windy and cold, low 40's. However, Deb was a trooper and we headed toward Preaching Rock. Let me say it was thru-hiking season and I have never seen Woody Gap so crowded. Anyway, once we reached Preaching Rock, and enjoyed the great view, she wanted to push on to the Big Cedar Vista and the Captain Morgan tree. Oh, the view at the vista was even better than Preaching Rock. All-in-all we did four miles and then stopped in Dahlonega. I will be putting up a photo blog later.
