It is St. Patrick's Day, so what better way to celebrate than a hike on the green blazed trail to the Hike Inn. Before we got to the green blaze we hiked the blue of the AT Approach Trail. While I will write more later let's say that the signs saying strenuous are not lying. We did pass five AT thru-hikers slogging up Frosty Mountain. We finally made it to the junction to the Hike Inn and to the place itself. I will write more later but the Hike Inn was really cool and worth a trip out too. On the way back one of our group started to cramp up but John and I stayed with her and we made it back to the the parking area. The total hike was about 10.2 miles. I finished the day with visit to the Top of the Falls and the middle footbridge via the West Ridge Falls Trail. As always Amicalola Falls were beautiful. All-in-all a great way to celebrate St. Patty's Day!
