When this month started I didn't think I was going to have many wildflower pictures for this blog. My two overnight hikes fell victim to my apartment problems and with it any great pictures of the Catawba Rhododendrons and Flaming Azaleas on the balds of the Roan Highlands. I did get some nice pictures from my
waterfall drive when I came to Tennessee in early June. On the drive I was lucky enough to catch the tail-end of the Mountain Laurel season (I hope to get my special blog up this month) and got some nice shots. Then last week I finally got to hit the trail in the
Smokies and was treated to a few leftover Catawbas, and was surprised to find some early Rosebay Rhododendrons. Up in the mountains blackberries were stilling blooming, but lower down there were berries and some had ripened. Oh, there always seems to be wildflowers here at St. Clair and I found a few new flowers. So, here is my wildflower blog for the month of June.
