Northeast Tennessee has a number of notable peaks and balds, but none any more so than Big Bald. It seems that it can be seen for every peak in the area. It gets its name because it is a Big Bald, which stands out like the Grand PoBa if he lost his toupee Oh, it also has one of the best views in the entire region. While it is accessible from the private development Wolf Laurel, you have to own property or know somebody who does. However, most people hike the
Appalachian Trail (AT) to get to Big Bald, but it is at least 12 miles however you do it. So, here is Big Bald From....
