Winter, what was that? Yes, for the last three months the calendar said it was winter, but for most of the time, it didn't feel like it. While it felt like spring more often than not, WinterOutdoor '16-17 pushed ahead. There were a lot of excellent hikes and because of the warmer weather I got out more about double the miles from last year (40 miles). While it was warm, with a number of days out in the 60's and even the 70's, I did get to see some snow. Besides the snow here at St. Clair in early January I had three hikes where I saw the white stuff, with the most being at the Roan Highlands in February. So, with Meteorological Spring here this is the look back at WinterOutdoors '16-17.
