I Think The Groundhogs Were Wrong As Winter Continues

Last Tuesday was Groundhog Day and neither Punxsutawney Phil or General Beauregard Lee spotted there shadows which forecasts an early spring. However, a week later we got another snow in East Tennessee and we are expecting our coldest temperatures of the winter this weekend. The snow was nothing like what happened back in January (see here, here, here and here), but more than predicted. Our snowfall was just over an inch and north of two in some places here at Saint Clair. The higher mountains received six-plus. Tomorrow (Wednesday) at Mount LeConte and the Roan Highlands they are expecting windchill's of -26. I got out today for a two mile snow hike around the farm and then fed the birds. As soon as I reached the place where we keep the feed the birds in the yard started squawking. It was like they knew it was feeding time. As for this weekend we are expecting temps in the single digits, so for now Snow Miser is still in charge. Well here are some pictures of our snow...enjoy.
