Well, today I finally hiked out of Sams Gap on North Carolina/Tennessee border. The hike (which I will detail later) was on the Appalachian Trail (AT) from the Gap first to High Rocks and then to the Hogback Ridge Shelter. The hike was 5.5 miles. After that I stopped at the I-26 Metcalf Overlook West and hiked to all four overlooks. Then I had stops at the Tennessee Welcome Center, One Stop and East Coast Wings & Grill. The last two stops were for tomorrow and Puppy Bowl XII (oh yeah also Super Bowl 50).
