Any trip to the Roan Highlands means plenty of photos, but during Catawba, Rhododendron season means even more. That was the case Monday as I decided to head up to Carvers Gap to hike the Appalachian Trail out to Grassy Ridge Bald and then up and over to Roan High Ridge. Because of the flowers blooming across the balds, I decided to drive up to the Roan Rhododendron Gardens and while not ready yet, it was still a fun side trip. Anyway, here are the photos from my outing on the Roan Highlands...enjoy!
